Myriad release their highly anticipated new single
‘Do You Know Where She Goes’
- Out 8
th October 2021.
“Myriad are one of the most exciting and joyous bands around at the moment. Already with
a back catalogue to rival the best, they are a band to keep your eyes on as they are destined
for an incredible career. With outstanding songwriting Myriad have the perfect balance of
emotionally driven tracks and just all out rock anthems.” – Voice FM
After riding the new wave of hype from their online spaces, Myriad have returned doing
what they love, releasing new music. The astronomical success of “Afterglow” catapulted
them from 500 monthly Spotify listeners to over 10,000.
Their new track, “Do You Know Where You Goes” is the band’s favourite track to date,
already receiving positive feedback from industry professionals in the states. It’s a fastpaced, indie rock anthem that is the band’s catchiest track yet. It’s a story about seeking
more after being away from partners for so long in lockdown. The themes of youth and genZ’s transition into adulthood remain.
Quote from the band:
Chatting about the vision behind the three tracks, the band’s lead singer, David,
states "these songs cover some of the most important subjects facing 16-24 year olds today;
consent, insomnia, commitment, and independence to
name a few. ‘Do You Know Where She Goes’ takes the
concept of independence and commitment, and it paints
the picture of when we are away from our partners from
events such as the covid pandemic, we long for physical
connection.”
He continues; “the narrative of ‘Do You Know Where She
Goes’ is centred on a young person taking it upon
themselves to look outside their relationship for the
physical connection that they’re lacking, due to being
apart from their partner. It’s written in the 3rd
- person
perspective, speaking towards the partner – asking them
“Do you know where she goes?” The song implies they
either don’t know, or don’t care. The music, is for everyone
living in the post-covid world, and those trying to stay
committed to their friends, family, and partners.”
“Do You Know Where She Goes” continues Myriad’s newest era, they’re drawing from the
likes of The 1975, The Amazons, The Wombats, and other modern indie music, along with
influences from Michael Jackson for this track in particular, bringing new sounds to Myriad’s
arsenal.
The energy of “Do You Know Where She Goes” makes this one Myriad’s catchiest songs so
far, the pounding bass and drums, along with the 80s-rock style guitar solo are the catalyst
for this to be Myriad’s biggest song yet
